Pasting an Image from the Clipboard as a Background Image

Once an image has been copied to the clipboard using either the Print Screen key, the Windows Snipping Tool or bespoke screen capture software such as ScreenPresso or Snagit, it can be imported into the project easily and used as the current background image.

Paste buttons are available in the Home ribbon / Page group and the Page Properties pane / General tab to paste the clipboard image as the background for the current page.

If there is no image on the clipboard a message will be displayed.

If the image on the clipboard does not match the size specified for the project (see Project Settings / Basic Settings) a warning message will be displayed and you will be asked whether you wish to proceed:

If the image is the correct size, no warning will be displayed.

Once an image has been pasted, as well as being used on the current page, the image will be added to the Background Image Gallery for your project so that it can be reused elsewhere if needed.

TIP: To reduce the size of you project and speed up loading speed for learners, avoid adding the same image to the project multiple times. Instead of pasting the image again, pick the image from the Background Gallery.
