General Settings
The General tab in the Page Properties pane gives access to the following settings for the selected page in the project:
Page name
Specify a name for the page.
TIP: The name of the html file generated for the page will be based on this name. Keep it short and avoid unusual symbols.
NOTE: If you reorder the pages in your project, the page name will be retained, even if it contains the number of the page.
Background Image
A drop down gallery allowing you to select an existing image from background images folder for your project.
The General tab also provides access to the following commands commands (most of which can also be found on the Home ribbon / Page group):
Paste
Pastes the image that is currently on the clipboard as the background for the current page. If there is no image on the clipboard a message will be displayed. If the image on the clipboard does not match the size specified for the project (see Project Settings / Basic Settings) a warning message will be displayed and you will be asked whether you wish to proceed:
If the image is the correct size, no warning will be displayed. The image will be added to the Background Image Gallery for your project and set as the background for the current page.
Import
Import allows you to import an image from elsewhere in the computer filing system into your project background gallery. If the selected image does not match the proportions of your project, a warning will be displayed (as above).
Edit
Opens the background image for the selected page in an image editor so that it can be modified.
NOTE: You will be prompted to browse for an image editing application the first time you click Edit. See Additional Recommended Software for more information.
Browse
Opens the background image folder for the current project in Windows Explorer.
Refresh
Updates the image galleries in the project.
TIP: If you edit a project image or add a file to the image folders manually, click Refresh to update the Background and Image galleries to reflect your changes.
