Learning Portal Configuration
The Learning Portal page gives access to the Learning Portal Configuration options and Knowledge Bank usage statistics.
Centre Learning Portal Configuration
Your current learning portal config settings will be displayed along with a Launch Learning Portal and Generate Link Email buttons.
Clicking Launch Learning Portal will launch the Digital Learning Solutions Learning Portal for your centre. When launched, you will see the login screen, this will allow any user with an active Digital Learning Solutions login for your centre to access the Learning Portal.
Clicking Generate Link Email will open an e-mail with a link to the Learning Portal for your centre (provided that a local e-mail client, such as Microsoft Outlook, is installed. You can address this e-mail to your learners to provide them with a link to the portal or copy the link and paste it elsewhere.
Clicking Edit will allow you to change your Centre Learning Portal configuration:
Custom Login Prompt
Allows you to change the prompt for the login username box. By default this is labelled E-mail / User ID.
Brands EXCLUDED from Knowledge Bank searches
To ensure that the content returned when your users search the Knowledge Bank, you can optionally exclude particular Brands of learning material that are not relevant to your users.
Tick the boxes next to and Brands that you wish to exclude.
Categories EXCLUDED from Knowledge Bank searches
Similarly, you can optionally exclude particular Categories of learning material that are not relevant to your users.
Tick the boxes next to and Categories that you wish to exclude.
Allow YouTube Searching in Knowledge Bank (currently unavailable)
Determines whether options to expand a Knowledge Bank search to include results from YouTube are available. Disable this if YouTube access is blocked in your organisation.
Default Office Version in Knowledge Bank
Allows you to preset the default Microsoft Office version to be applied to filters in the Knowledge Bank. This should typically be set to match the version of Office most widely used in your organisation.
