Launching Customised Courses
Once a course has been customised and is active, it can be made available for delegates in a number of different ways.
Once you have your course configured it will appear on the Course Setup tab.
Click the play button next to the course name to launch the course and test the customisation selections you made.
Sending a link in an email
A link can be sent to the delegate in an email. If a delegate has also been pre-registered, you could also send their user ID along with the link, making access very simple.
To add a link to an email (this facility requires a local e-mail client such as Microsoft Outlook:
Click on the email icon next to the course. This will open an email with the link embedded in it. If a password was set for the course, this will also be added to the email.
- Address the email to your delegate
- Click Send
When the delegate receives the email and clicks on the link, their internet browser will open and will be directed to the course customisation.
Copying a link to the Course
If you need a link to the course for inclusion on a web site or for publishing in any other way, click the Copy button on the course list. This will copy the link to the clipboard ready for pasting wherever it is required.
TIP: Provided that you left the Hide in Learning Portal checkbox unticked in the Edit Course form, the course will be available to all of your delegates from the learning portal for your centre under the Available Courses tab. This is a much easier way of making content available to learners without having to provide them with links to each course.
